Breogan defeated Penas Huesca in the decisive third game of the quarterfinal series and sealed the semifinal appearance. Lobe Huesca trailed 44-41 at halftime, rallying from a 29-16 deficit at the end of first quarter to trim the gap. Worth to mention a quality performance of Dutch power forward Roeland Schaftenaar (211-88, college: Oregon St.) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. Icelandic Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland) helped adding 19 points. The best for the losing side was power forward Javier Mugica (200-83) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and American center Nick Washburn (208-91, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) scored 12 points. Lobe Huesca's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
