Finals Game 3: Catz - PeKa 57-72

PeKa snapped two-game losing skid in the Finals. They defeated Catz to force the forth game in the title series. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-57. Peli-Karhut outrebounded Catz Lappeenranta 45-31 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for the former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds. American guard Andrea Barbour (178-89, college: VCU, agency: Regeneracom Sports) helped adding 21 points and 11 rebounds. Four Peli-Karhut players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American swingman Alexandria Anderson (186-86, college: Chattanooga, agency: Regeneracom Sports) with 14 points and 9 rebounds and Russian forward Elena Reshetko (184-86) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
