Regular Season Round 38: NSH GMC - Hangtuah 67-77

Not a big story in a game in Riau where 12th ranked NSH GMC (1-22) was defeated by eighth ranked Hangtuah (8-16) 77-67 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Hangtuah. NSH GMC managed to win fourth quarter 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded NSH GMC 50-28 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hangtuah looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Center Adhi Prasetyo (194-93) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Mei Joni (188-89) chipped in 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Center Max Yanto (215-83) responded with 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard R. Azzaryan Pradhitya (181-92) scored 10 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hangtuah maintains eighth position with 8-16 record. NSH GMC lost seventeenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Hangtuah are looking forward to face higher ranked Bimasakti (#7) in Sakti in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. NSH GMC will play at home against Garuda (#5) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
