Regular Season Round 25: KAOD - Panelefsiniakos 81-68

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked KAOD (12-13) won against bottom-ranked Panelefsiniakos (7-18) in Dramas 81-68. The game was mostly controlled by KAOD. Panelefsiniakos was better in third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KAOD forced 20 Panelefsiniakos turnovers. Panelefsiniakos was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Lazeric Jones (182-90, college: UCLA) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 assists for the winners and Serbian power forward Nikola Markovic (208-89) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American guard David Kyles (190-89, college: Wichita St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Rob Jones (196-89, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Panelefsiniakos' coach Giorgos Skarafingas tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. KAOD moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Aris. Panelefsiniakos at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 18 games lost. They share it with Ilysiakos and Ikaros. KAOD will play against Aiolos Trikallon (#10) on the road in the next round. Panelefsiniakos will play against Nea Kifisia (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
