Leiden defeated Zwolle for 1-0 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Leiden. Zwolle managed to win fourth quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Robert Holcomb Faye (185-84, college: Radford) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists. International power forward Josh Duinker (210-89, college: Richmond) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Holcomb Faye is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard J.T. Tiller (191-88, college: Missouri) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and the former international Nikki Hulzebos (205-86) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Zwolle.
