Olimpia cruised past Sozh Gomel in the opening game of the consolation final. The game without a history. Olimpia GrGAU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sozh Gomel to just 0 points in fourth quarter. Olimpia GrGAU dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sozh Gomel's 28. They outrebounded Sozh Gomel 51-36 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olimpia GrGAU players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Sozh Gomel's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Chanita Jordan (196-87, college: Bowie St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Russian-Ukrainian center Lyubov Alyoshkina (203-81) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Olimpia GrGAU players scored in double figures. Olimpia GrGAU's coach Aliaksandr Shimkovyak felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Ekaterina Charikova (174-82) answered with 16 points and 5 steals and forward Olga Kopylova (187-82) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Sozh Gomel.
