Quarter-Finals Round 2: Amsterdam - Groningen 58-71

Groningen swept the quarterfinal series against Amsterdam following a road victory. The game was mostly controlled by Groningen. Amsterdam was better in fourth quarter 22-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Amsterdam to just 7 points in first quarter. Groningen made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Amsterdam 39-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American point guard Cashmere Wright (183-90, college: Cincinnati, agency: Three Eye Sports) who scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). The other American import forward Daniel Coleman (206-85, college: Minnesota) chipped in 12 points. The former international point guard Aaron Roye (185-88) produced 22 points and 5 rebounds and center Lucas Steijn (211-86, college: Idaho St.) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
