Levski are the new Balkan League champions. They dethroned Galil Gilboa edging those in Prishtina tonight. Lionel Chalmers stepped up with 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Bulgarian team to the triumph. The teams traded baskets throughout the opening quarter. The scoreboard read 19:19 after ten minutes of action. Levski pulled ahead in the second frame. The Bulgarian team dropped 21 points in the quarter and piled up a 40:32 halftime lead. Galil Gilboa did not allow their opponents to pull away in the third term. The Israeli team capped the quarter on an 11:5 run to pull within two points 54:56. Rick Jackson tied things up at 63 midway through the fourth frame. But Levksi scored next seven points to regain the advantage. Younger gave a trace of hope to Galil Gilboa cutting the deficit at 3-point mark 69:72. However Jumaine Jones and Brandon Heath went deadly from the stripe to seal the victory for Levski. Jumaine Jones finished with 14 points and 9 rebounds, while Brandon Heath contributed 11 points for Levski. Rick Jackson answered with 17 points for Galil Gilboa. Amit Simhon had 14 points in the defeat.
