Very predictable result in Ankara where fifth ranked Besiktas (18-11) beat 11th ranked Turk Telekom (11-18) 84-67 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Besiktas. Turk Telekom managed to win fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Besiktas dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Turk Telekom's 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Bosnian center Kenan Bajramovic (205-81) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American guard Chris Lofton (188-86, college: Tennessee, agency: Allegiant Athletic Agency) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Besiktas' coach Ahmet Kandemir used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian forward Luka Bogdanovic (210-85, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Cemal Nalga (213-87, agency: Beo Basket) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Besiktas maintains fifth place with 18-11 record. Loser Turk Telekom keeps the eleventh position with 18 games lost. They share it with TED Kolejliler. Besiktas will meet at home league's leader Banvit BK in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Turk Telekom will play against Aliaga (#16) and hope to secure a win.
