Quarter-Finals Round 2: MIA Academy - Batumi 82-89

Batumi fired past MIA Academy to step closer to the semifinal stage. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But MIA won third quarter 23-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Batumi dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to MIA's 28. Strangely MIA outrebounded Batumi 57-40 including a 31-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. Canadian guard Junior Cadougan (187-90, college: Marquette) scored 27 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Jeremy Saffold (198-91, college: Wisc.-Parkside, agency: N.E.T.) chipped in 27 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. International Levan Patsatsia (198-88, college: Troy) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and center Ilia Londaridze (205-89) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
