Hapoel Eilat outgunned Hapoel Tel-Aviv on the road in the opening game of the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Eilat. Hapoel Tel-Aviv managed to win second period 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hapoel Tel-Aviv 43-32 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hapoel Eilat looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Terrico White (196-90, college: Mississippi) stepped up and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Carlon Brown (195-89, college: Colorado) responded with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Matan Naor (195-80) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots).
