There was a small surprise in Wuerzburg where sixteenth ranked s Oliver Baskets (11-23) defeated 14th ranked BBC Bayreuth (11-23) 71-62. The hosts were already 13 points ahead at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 15-8 last quarter charge of BBC Bayreuth cut the lead to 71-62 at the end of the game. s Oliver Baskets forced 21 BBC Bayreuth turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 9 rebounds. The former international center Christopher McNaughton (211-82, college: Bucknell) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four s Oliver Baskets players scored in double figures. American guard D.J. Seeley (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for BBC Bayreuth. BBC Bayreuth's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. s Oliver Baskets moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with NY Phantoms and Bayreuth.
