Semi-Finals Game 1: Den Bosch - Den Helder 89-78

Date: May 1, 2014
Den Bosch outgunned Den Helder in the semifinals opener. The game was mostly controlled by Den Bosch. Den Helder was better in fourth quarter 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. The former international forward Stefan Wessels (203-84, agency: R.H.Consultancy) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and the former international Kees Akerboom (200-83, agency: Court Side) chipped in 17 points. Four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. At the losing side Puerto Rican-American point guard Emanuel Ubilla (188-86, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: Court Side) responded with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and American forward Justin Knox (205-89, college: N.Carolina) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Den Helder's coach Jean-Marc Jaumin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
