Quarter-Finals Round 3: Al Riyadi - Champville 104-60

Al Riyadi marched past Champville to gain 2-1 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Al Riyadi. Champville managed to win fourth quarter 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Al Riyadi dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Champville's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Champville's players. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Ahmad Ibrahim (198-92, college: Rice) who led his team to a victory scoring 38 points (!!!) (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field). Egyptian power forward Ahmad Ismail (205-76) helped adding 11 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. Al Riyadi's coach Slobodan Subotic felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Yehia Sabra (198-85) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds.
