Semi-Finals Game 2: Palma - Castello 89-80

Palma defeated Castello at home court to ensure 2-0 lead in the series. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-80. It was a great shooting night for Palma especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) scored 26 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Antonio Pantin (206-88, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. DiBartolomeo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Palma players scored in double figures. Palma's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Alberto Ausina (203-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and Nigerian-American power forward Olasumbo Atoyebi (203-87, college: Elon) scored 19 points.
