Groningen earend the first victory in the series as they held off Leiden at home court. The hosts were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 23-14 run, which allowed them to win the game. Groningen made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game, while Leiden only scored six points from the stripe.
