Quarter-Finals Round 3: Energa Czarni - Trefl Sopot 69-56

Energa Czarni held off Trefl Sopot to narrow the deficit at 1-2 in the series. It looked good early as Trefl Sopot took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Energa Czarni had a 24-16 second period charge getting the lead and Trefl Sopot was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 56-69. Energa Czarni dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Trefl Sopot's 22. It was a great evening for American center Garrett Stutz (212-90, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import Roderick Trice (190-84, college: S.Carolina) helped adding 13 points. The best for the losing side was international swingman Adam Waczynski (199-89) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Pawel Leonczyk (202-86) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Trefl Sopot's coach Darius Maskoliunas rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
