It looked good early as Sokhumi took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Energy Invest took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 5 points. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Naturalized Russian center Giorgi Kvelashvili (206-81) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Revaz Chachanidze (183-90) accounted for 29 points. The former international center Beka Bekauri (207-91) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks and center Vakhtang Kadaria (205-89, college: Mineral Area CC) added 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Sokhumi in the defeat. Five Energy Invest and four Sokhumi players scored in double figures.
