Ravenna edged visiting Ferrara to narrrow the deficit in the quarterfinal series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-18. But Naturhouse Ferrara won second period 18-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Ravenna won last quarter 20-15. Ravenna outrebounded Naturhouse Ferrara 42-25 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturhouse Ferrara was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. point guard Eugenio Rivali (178-86) accounted for 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American point guard Julius Mays (188-89, college: Kentucky) came up with 22 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and the other American import forward Milton Jennings (206-90, college: Clemson, agency: Court Side) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Naturhouse Ferrara in the defeat.
