Kutaisi fired past Armia on the road to even the semifinal series. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Kutaisi dominated on the defensive end, holding Armia to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Armia 42-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. Kutaisi players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The former international Akaki Dvalishvili (206-90) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points, 21 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks to lead the effort and guard Levan Tsekvava (190-89) supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Kutaisi players scored in double figures. Even 30 points and 5 steals by the former international guard Lasha Parghalava (191-87, college: Mont.St.-Billings) did not help to save the game for Armia. International center Giorgi Sharabidze (210-90) added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts.
