Semi-Finals Game 2: Aishin SH - Wakayama T. 79-76

Aishin Sea Horses overcame Wakayama to force the third decisive game in the semifinal series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Wakayama T. won fourth quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aishin Sea Horses forced 82 Wakayama T. turnovers. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Aishin Sea Horses brought some defensive toughness making 19 blocks. Wakayama T. was plagued by 97 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international center J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) notched 25 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) supported him with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Five Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. Even 34 points (!!!) by the former international guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) did not help to save the game for Wakayama T.. American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the guests.
