Finals Game 1: TU/Rock - Kalev/Cramo 72-75

Kalev/Cramo got to the winning start of KML Finals. They upset TU/Rock in Tartu in the opener. TU/Rock trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 28-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 72-75 at the end of the game. Kalev/Cramo shot 24 for 36 from the free-throw line, while TU/Rock only scored eight points from the stripe. 31 personal fouls committed by TU/Rock helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Romanian forward Vlad-Sorin Moldoveanu (209-88, college: American) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. U.S. Virgin Islands center Frank Elegar (208-86, college: Drexel) chipped in 9 points and 16 rebounds. Four Kalev/Cramo players scored in double figures. International center Joosep Toome (208-85) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and Lithuanian forward Vilmantas Dilys (208-87, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. TU/Rock's coach Gert Kullamae tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
