Quarter-Finals Round 5: Trefl Sopot - Energa Czarni 75-74

Trefl Sopot came from behind in the final seconds to snatch a vital victory over visiting Energa Czarni in the fifth game of the quarterfinal series. Therefore Trefl Sopot advanced into the next stage of the tournament. The hosts trailed by 13 points after three quarters before their 27-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Trefl Sopot made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Energa Czarni helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international Pawel Leonczyk (202-86) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. International swingman Adam Waczynski (199-89) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Trefl Sopot's coach Darius Maskoliunas used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American Roderick Trice (190-84, college: S.Carolina) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import center Garrett Stutz (212-90, college: Wichita St.) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Energa Czarni. Four Energa Czarni players scored in double figures.
