Hapoel Tel-Aviv marched past Hapoel Eliat to narrow the deficit in the quarterfinal series. It looked good early as Hapoel Eilat took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hapoel Tel-Aviv had a 32-16 second period charge getting the lead and Hapoel Eilat was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-98. Hapoel Tel-Aviv dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Hapoel Eilat's 38. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Hapoel Tel-Aviv brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Justin Harper (208-89, college: Richmond) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. His fellow American import guard Carlon Brown (195-89, college: Colorado) accounted for 20 points and 7 assists for the winning side. The former international point guard Afik Nissim (186-81) came up with 20 points and American swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 9 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Hapoel Eilat in the defeat.
