Semi-Finals Game 3: Wakayama T. - Aishin SH 73-59

Wakayama overcame Aishin in the decisive third game of the semifinal series and booked their Finals appearance. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-59. Wakayama T. had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. 27 personal fouls committed by Aishin Sea Horses helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. The former international guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) helped adding 14 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international center J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
