Armia defeated Kutaisi in overtime to regain the lead in the semifinal series. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 16-11. But Kutaisi won second period 18-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Kutaisi used huge pressure winning it 22-14 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 13-17. It was a great evening for international center Giorgi Sharabidze (210-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. point guard Beqa Tsivtsivadze (190-89) helped adding 18 points and 6 assists. Four Armia players scored in double figures. Armia's coach Kote Tugushi used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was the former international Akaki Dvalishvili (206-90) with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and guard Levan Tsekvava (190-89) scored 17 points and 9 assists.
