Ratiopharm Ulm upset ALBA on the road and forced the fourth game in the quarterfinal series. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But ALBA Berlin won fourth quarter 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was the former international Daniel Theis (204-92) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. International point guard Per Guenther (185-88) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian-Irish power forward Levon Kendall (209-84, college: Pittsburgh) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and American swingman Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) added 14 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
