Semi-Finals Game 3: S.Jose/Unimed - Paulistano 74-80

Paulistano snatched a road win over Sao Jose/Unimed and posted a 2-1 lead in the semifinal series. Sao Jose/Vinac was ahead by 10 points after three quarters before a 30-14 charge of Paulistano, which allowed them to win the game. They made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Paulistano forced 24 Sao Jose/Vinac turnovers. Sao Jose/Vinac was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Desmond Holloway (190-90, college: Co.Carolina) who led his team to a victory with 18 points. Pedro Lima (190-87) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Paulistano's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international Jefferson Andrade (207-83) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Edward Nelson (203-82, college: Connecticut) added 14 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Sao Jose/Vinac. Four Sao Jose/Vinac players scored in double figures.
