Oostende rallied past Antwerp in the series opener. The game was mostly controlled by Oostende. Antwerp Giants was better in fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Oostende players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Polish swingman Mateusz Ponitka (197-93) nailed 16 points for the winning side and American Wesley Wilkinson (206-84, college: Nebraska) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds. International Maxime De Zeeuw (204-87) came up with 15 points and American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason, agency: Court Side) added 11 points respectively for Antwerp Giants in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
