The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Sharks' (7-3) road victory over 5th ranked Pistons (6-5) 82-66 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 18-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-66. Sharks made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Pistons turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Reuben Te Rangi (197-94) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and American forward Brian Conklin (198-89, college: St.Louis) who added 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St.) responded with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Casey Frank (203-77, college: N.Arizona) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Pistons' coach gave the chance to play for ten players seeing no chance for a win. Sharks have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 7-3 record. Loser Pistons keep the fifth place with five games lost. Sharks will face Mountain Airs (#7) in New Plymouth in the next round. Pistons will play at home against Nuggets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
