Montepaschi bounced back after the starting loss to Reggio Emilia and evened the quarterfinal series. The hosts were already 15 points ahead at halftime and as many as 19 after three quarters before a 39-24 last quarter charge of Trenkwalder RE cut the lead to 88-84 at the end of the game. Montepaschi Siena made 25-of-32 charity shots (78.1 percent) during the game. Trenkwalder RE was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch.
