Finals Game 1: PGE Turow - Stelmet ZG 100-88

PGE Turow defeated Stelmet Zielona Gora in the Finals opener. It looked good early as Stelmet ZG took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then PGE Turow had a 30-23 second period charge getting the lead and Stelmet ZG was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 88-100. PGE Turow made 27-of-32 charity shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Stelmet ZG was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward J.P. Prince (198-87, college: Tennessee) stepped up and scored 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and the former international power forward Damian Kulig (205-87) chipped in 20 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Montenegrin power forward Vladimir Dragicevic (206-86) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
