Valencia cruised to the opening victory over Cajasol. The game without a history. Valencia Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Valencia Basket outrebounded Cajasol 87-45 including a 36-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Cajasol's players. 40 personal fouls committed by Cajasol helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Belgian point guard Sam Van Rossom (188-86) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 assists. American forward Justin Doellman (206-85, college: Xavier, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Valencia Basket players scored in double figures. American swingman Scott Bamforth (188-89, college: Weber St.) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Czech point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91) added 6 points and 5 assists in the effort for Cajasol. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
