Olympiacos handed Panathinaikos the second straight defeat and surged ahead in the Finals. Panathinaikos trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 24-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 64-69 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was international Vassilis Spanoulis (193-82, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 14 points and 5 assists. American forward Brent Petway (205-85, college: Michigan) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Dimitris Diamantidis (196-80) who recorded 18 points and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Gabonese center Stephane Lasme (203-82, college: Massachusetts) added 16 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
