Finals Game 1: Bourg - Poitiers 81-72

Bourg fired past Poitiers in the opening game of the ProB Finals. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-72. JL Bourg dominated on the defensive end, holding Poitiers to just 6 points in second quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard O'Darien Bassett (189-86, college: Troy, agency: Three Eye Sports) stepped up and scored 17 points and 5 assists for the winners and power forward Guillaume Yango (205-82, college: Pacific) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American-British power forward Laurence Ekperigin (201-88, college: Le Moyne) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Karim Souchu (198-79, college: Furman) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
