Finals Game 4: PAOK - Panionios 84-80

PAOK defeated Panionios at home court to clinch Bronze medals. It looked good early as Panionios took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then PAOK had a 23-14 second period charge getting the lead and Panionios was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-84. PAOK made 31-of-38 charity shots (81.6 percent) during the game, while Panionios only scored fourteen points from the stripe. Panionios was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Kostas Haralampidis (189-76) who helped to win the game recording 25 points (made all of his seventeen free throws !!!). American Mark Payne (202-88, college: Cal-Davis) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. PAOK's coach Soulis Markopoulos allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Serbian Uros Duvnjak (190-86, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 18 points and power forward Vassilis Symtsak (204-81) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Panionios. Five Panionios players scored in double figures.
