Semi-Finals Game 4: Hapoel Eilat - Maccabi T-A 96-100 OT

Maccabi Tel-Aviv trailed for the bigger part of the game but managed to force overtime and eventually clinched a tough victory over Hapoel Eilat to win the semifinal series 3-1. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-19. But Hapoel Eilat won second period 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Hapoel Eilat used huge pressure winning it 18-12 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 16-20. Maccabi T-A made 31-of-41 free shots (75.6 percent) during the game. Hapoel Eilat was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Devin Smith (196-83, college: Virginia) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Georgian point guard Richard Hickman (189-85, college: NC-Greensboro) who added 21 points during the contest. At the losing side American forward Christian Watford (206-91, college: Indiana) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four Maccabi T-A and five Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures.
