The game without a history. Tijuana Zonkeys led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Tijuana Zonkeys forced 21 Ostioneros de Guaymas turnovers. American guard Trayvon Lathan (201-84, college: Chowan, agency: Elite Talent Exchange) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Lathan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side the former international forward Conor Turley (200-86, college: Pennsylvania) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Tijuana Zonkeys and five Ostioneros de Guaymas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
