FCB Regal fired past Valencia on the road to take 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series. The game without a history. Regal FC Barcelona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Regal FC Barcelona outrebounded Valencia Basket 77-45 including a 33-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Valencia Basket was plagued by 39 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Juan Carlos Navarro (192-80) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. point guard Pau Ribas (193-87) answered with 12 points and 5 assists and American forward Justin Doellman (206-85, college: Xavier, agency: Beo Basket) added 11 points in the effort for Valencia Basket. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
