Real Madrid survived an overtime thriller against Unicaja to earn the opening win in the semifinal series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 16-15 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 5-point victory in overtime. Real Madrid looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Real Madrid made 7 blocks. Unicaja Malaga was plagued by 41 personal fouls down the stretch.
