Hermosillo stole a road win over Caborca to take 3-1 lead in the series. The game without a history. Rayos de Hermosillo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Rayos de Hermosillo shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. The winners were led by international point guard Steve Monreal (180-86, college: CS Monterey) who scored that evening 15 points and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and Juan Esteva Hernandez supported him with 17 points. Four Rayos de Hermosillo players scored in double figures. Even 26 points and 5 rebounds by American forward Sammy Monroe (198-85, college: Newberry) did not help to save the game for Mineros de Caborca. His fellow American import guard Jermaine Watson (193-81, college: Boston Coll.) added 19 points and 7 assists for lost side.
