Culiacan overcame Los Mochis at home court and forced the sixth game in the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Caballeros de Culiacan. Pioneros Los Mochis managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was forward Leroy Davis (200-81, college: Georgia St.) who scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Caballeros de Culiacan's coach Mario Andriolo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard William Funn (188-82, college: Portland St.) produced 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and CamRon Clay (203-82) added 9 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests.
