Latina Basket protected home court advantage edging visiting Rieti in the first game of the series. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 40-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Marco Tagliabue (206-86) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Riccardo Santolamazza (195-83) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Latina Basket players scored in double figures. Naturalized Argentinian Juan Manuel Caceres (199-84, agency: Interperformances) produced 12 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Dario Scodavolpe (193-83, agency: Two Points) added 15 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!) respectively for lost side.
