Finals Game 5: Oostende - Aalstar 98-61

Oostende repeated as the Ethias League champions. They cruised past Aalstar in teh decisive fifth game of the title series to earn the third consecutive league trophy. Oostende led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Okapi Aalstar's 22. They outrebounded Okapi Aalstar 43-32 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Oostende looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Okapi Aalstar's players. American Wesley Wilkinson (206-84, college: Nebraska) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Serbian guard Dusan Djordjevic (193-83, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Oostende players scored in double figures. Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP) responded with 12 points and naturalized American forward Ian Hanavan (202-80, college: Evansville, agency: Interperformances) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
