Quarter-Finals Round 7: Guasave - Nogales 83-72

Guasave shot down visiting Nogales and paved their way into the semifinal stage. The game was mostly controlled by Frayles de Guasave. Fuerza Guinda Nogales managed to win third quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Fuerza Guinda Nogales outrebounded Frayles de Guasave 46-29 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA) who helped to win the game recording 26 points. The former international forward Alonso Izaguirre (200-76) helped adding 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Millsap is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Frayles de Guasave players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion) responded with 24 points and the former international forward Michael Strobbe (201-85) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds.
