Semi-Finals Game 4: FC Barcelona - Valencia 63-81

Valencia handed the second straight defeat to FCB Regal in Barcelona and evened the series. The fifth and decisive game of the series is scheduled for Sunday in Valencia. The game was mostly controlled by Valencia Basket. Regal FC Barcelona was better in fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valencia Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Regal FC Barcelona's 24 and made 21-of-22 free shots (95.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Regal FC Barcelona 58-47 including a 41-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Valencia Basket made 7 blocks. Regal FC Barcelona was plagued by 52 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Central African swingman Romain Sato (194-81, college: Xavier) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 6 rebounds. Belgian point guard Sam Van Rossom (188-86) contributed with 17 points for the winners. The former international guard Juan Carlos Navarro (192-80) replied with 18 points and Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Regal FC Barcelona. Regal FC Barcelona's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win.
