Semi-Finals Game 2: Hermosillo - Culiacan 92-73

Culiacan bounced back from the starting loss to Hermosillo and fired past their opponents in the second game of the series. It looked good early as Caballeros de Culiacan took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Rayos de Hermosillo had a 19-10 second period charge getting the lead and Caballeros de Culiacan was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 73-92. They outrebounded Caballeros de Culiacan 30-19 including 22 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Rayos de Hermosillo especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Joel Smith (193-90, college: Northeastern) notched 24 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) supported him with 19 points. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Rayos de Hermosillo's coach Dan Tacheny allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St., agency: I.D.S. Law) did not help to save the game for Caballeros de Culiacan. Forward Leroy Davis (200-81, college: Georgia St.) added 18 points for the guests. Four Rayos de Hermosillo and five Caballeros de Culiacan players scored in double figures.
