Tortona edged Piacentina at home court to clinch Group A title. The game was mostly controlled by Tortona. Piacentina was better in second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Piacentina was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Giuliano Samoggia (200-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds.
