Semi-Finals Game 1: Tijuana - Guasave 84-67

Tijuana overcame Guasave to take 1-0 lead in the semifinal series. It looked good early as Frayles de Guasave took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Tijuana Zonkeys took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 17 points. Tijuana Zonkeys outrebounded Frayles de Guasave 48-36 including 16 on the offensive glass. American guard Trayvon Lathan (201-84, college: Chowan, agency: Elite Talent Exchange) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and the former international power forward Arim Solares (202-83) accounted for 14 points and 14 rebounds. Lathan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures. Tijuana Zonkeys' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA) came up with 29 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Alonso Izaguirre (200-76) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Frayles de Guasave in the defeat.
