The first game of the Liga Endesa Finals ended with FCB Regal road victory. They outgunned Real Madrid in Classico to take 1-0 lead in the best-of-five title series. Real Madrid was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 28-20 charge of Regal FC Barcelona, which allowed them to win the game. They made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. 48 personal fouls committed by Real Madrid helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Juan Carlos Navarro (192-80) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. International Rudy Fernandez (198-85) answered with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international point guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Real Madrid. Four Regal FC Barcelona and five Real Madrid players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
